Private client in downtown Chicago seeking a full-time houseman to join his team, acting as an assistant to the estate manager and complementing another full-time housekeeper. Houseman will be responsible for assisting with indoor and outdoor maintenance of the entire property, driving, handyman duties and repairs, and housekeeping. This position requires someone to be very hands on.
Schedule is Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours, plus Saturdays (8-1). Ideal candidate has 5+ years experience as a houseman/butler, good knowledge of landscaping/garden maintenance, is able to commit for the long-term (minimum of 1 year), has worked in a formal household, is pet-friendly (dog) and speaks VERY good English.
