Estate Manager Needed- Highland Park, IL

Private client in Highland Park, IL seeking an estate manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the entire property. Duties include overseeing construction and renovations, landscapers and contractors, and other various projects throughout the interior and exterior of the home. Estate Manager will be in charge of supervising outside vendors/housekeepers, handling errands and online purchasing, keeping household inventory, overseeing and preserving art/antiques, maintaining household records for submitting to accountant, acting as the liaison between employer's home and office, and handling travel and event arrangements when necessary. Ideal candidate will have a keen eye to detail, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to anticipate an employer's needs in advance. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 10-6, with occasional hours needed on evenings/weekends. Little to no travel required. This is a live-out position and employer is looking for a long-term commitment. Great opening for a houseman for a couple based in Birmingham, Michigan (right outside of Detroit). Position is full-time, year-round. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. Ideal candidate has impeccable organizational skills, is detail oriented, and a spotless driving record. This is a great position for an entry level houseman who would eventually like to become a house manager. Household has 2 dogs. This position is live out only--there is no option to live in. Salary $30-32,000/year, plus performance based incentives. The start date is immediate. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:


Total Auto Care, hand washing, waxing, fueling, daily.
Daily Garage Cleaning and maintain organization
Home maintenance that does not require a contractor, including: light bulbs, cleaning and organization.
Some yard maintenance, snow removal - no lawn mowing.
Moving furniture, cleaning and assisting housekeeper with miscellaneous jobs.
Assigned animal care and errands as directed.

Other maintenance duties--painting, gardening, plumbing, carpentry, and scheduling repairs.

FT Junior Personal Assistant Needed- Chicago IL


Chicago business owner seeks a junior level assistant for both personal and executive duties. The ideal candidate is incredibly articulate, professional, and eager to wear many hats/act as a sort of gatekeeper. The assistant should be very detail oriented and be a quick thinker--someone who has impeccable follow through and can anticipate an employer's needs without needing a lot of direction. Assistant must be very Internet/Computer savvy and be versed with using a Blackberry. A car is not needed but a valid driver's license with clean driving record required. 

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Answering phones 
  • Drafting email correspondence 
  • Running errands, such as grocery shopping, car maintenance, dry cleaning, post office, etc
  • Hiring household staff, such as housekeeper 
  • Coordinating schedule for business and personal 
  • Arranging reservations, travel bookings, and appointments
  • Event planning and execution--such as overseeing vendors, invitations, etc

The schedule is Monday-Friday full-time, with occasional weekend availability if needed. Candidate will be based in the office but frequently working at employer's home nearby. Small office environment but Employer's business is growing at a rapid rate, and this is an incredible opportunity for hands on learning. Full Time House Manager Needed- Hamptons, NY

Prominent New York family seeking a dedicated, hands on house manager to oversee their Hamptons estate full-time, year round. Family entertains a great deal--house manager would be responsible for coordinating and executing events and dinner parties on a frequent basis. The family is also looking for a flexible house manager who can train their permanent household staff. The family is looking for a house manager who is detail oriented, articulate, savvy and incredibly organized when it comes to maintaing and running an extremely busy household.

Duties include, but not limited to; 

• Schedule vendors, contractors, architects, and repairs
• Create a household manual and vendor list
• Maintain property and manage staff--hiring and overseeing included
• Coordinate budgeting and execution for large events
• Keep track of invoices and handle payments
• Act as a butler during events and ensure the utmost attention to guests
• Coordinate transportation for employer to and from NYC and various airports
