This position is managing a 10,000+ square foot private residence located in Chicago, Illinois.  It is a highly confidential and private environment and this person will make sure the home runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.  The individual should be smart, energetic, a proactive problem-solver, adept at setting priorities, possess strong organizational skills and represent the client in the most professional manner at all times. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

1.     Assume full responsibility for the residence and maintain its orderly operation and meticulous appearance daily.
2.     Maintain all systems in the household, including heating and cooling systems and security systems.  Schedule preventative maintenance.
3.     Update and revise the House Manual as needed.
4.     Schedule and supervise outside contractors, service providers and suppliers.  Perform small household repairs/maintenance projects that do not require a contractor. 
5.     Handle all household shopping, inventory and errands.  Anticipate and obtain any needed items or services.
6.     Plan and execute events in coordination with the internal team.
7.     Organize all areas of the household and identify areas of improvement.
8.     Ensure the highest level of discretion is upheld and that the residence is treated with the utmost respect and care at all times.
9.     On occasion, prepare simple food/meals.

Full-Time Housekeeper- Lake Forest, IL

Fantastic opening with a return client: Private family in the north suburbs (near Lake Forest) is seeking is a full-time housekeeper to join their fully staffed home. Position will entail all deep cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of an extensive residence, which serves as a vacation/weekend home for the family.  Housekeeper will report in to the Executive Housekeeper but also work as a team to ensure family has adequate coverage when in residence and that the house is run properly and left impeccable year-round. When family is in residence, housekeeper will handle laundry, ironing, light cooking, and assistance with events. This can be a live-in or live-out position, as family has a separate cottage available for use but is open to candidates living in or out.

Schedule will be 8-4 or 9-5, five days per week, with one day being a Saturday or Sunday (the housekeepers will rotate every other week who will work which day) and there will always be a guarantee of 2 days off per week. Housekeeper MUST be willing to work one weekend day per week. Housekeeper should be very experienced working in a formal household, be reliable, dependable, meticulous, and be looking to make a long-term commitment. Salary is DOE.
