Full-Time Nanny needed in May 2016- Chicago, IL

Private family in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Nanny for long-term position caring for one infant. Schedule is 5 days/week (Monday-Friday), and includes two half-days (Monday and Friday) and three longer days (Tuesday-Thursday). Hours are as follows:

Monday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tuesday: 6:00 am – 7:00 pm
Wednesday: 6:00 am – 7:00 pm
Thursday: 6:00 am – 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

   The overall care and development of one child
   Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities
   Registering/scheduling age-appropriate classes
   Light cleaning and organizing

Ideal Nanny is professional, reliable, communicative, empathetic, creative, and warm. All applicants must be CPR and first-aid certified, pet-friendly (dog), able to drive and comfortable with occasional travel. Candidates must have 3+ years of infant experience and be willing to accommodate a flexible schedule for two working parents. Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits may be offered. Start date will ideally be in May 2016, but may be flexible for the right person.

Administrative Assistant needed for private investment firm in Chicago, IL (Loop)

Administrative Assistant needed for a private investment company in Chicago, IL. Assistant will support 4 analysts, and serve as the main point of contact for the office personnel. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Greeting office visitors (in person and over the phone)
-Calendar scheduling and maintenance
-Directing phone calls for all analysts
-Coordinating travel for analysts
-Preparing meeting materials and expense reports
-Providing general administrative support
-Running errands (occasionally some personal)

Family Assistant needed for year-round position in Rancho Mirage, CA

Private couple in Rancho Mirage, CA, is seeking a Family Assistant to join their team year-round. The couple is in residence for approximately 6 months/year so the Assistant will primarily focus on house management duties for the family’s two local residences during the off-season. Please note: this position is live-out only; family is not considering live-in candidates at this time.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Personal Assistant
    • Managing shared and individual calendars for the couple
    • Coordinating and accompanying Principals’ to meetings and various appointments
    • Assisting with travel plans as needed
    • Personal shopping and errands (dry cleaners, post office, drug store, etc.)
  • House Management
    • Managing and maintaining two private residences
    • Scheduling and overseeing vendors (repairs, routine maintenance, etc.)
    • Organizational projects such as creating and maintaining household inventory, etc.
    • Routine administrative duties such as bill pay, light bookkeeping, etc.
    • General tidying such as loading the dishwasher, straightening up, and taking out the garbage
  • Other
    • Light meal preparation and cooking (*culinary background preferred but not a deal breaker)
    • Caring for and maintaining family automobiles
    • Assisting with technology issues as they arise and scheduling the appropriate vendor for repairs when needed

Full-Time Housekeeper Needed- Northfield, IL

Full-Time Housekeeper needed for private residence in Northfield, IL. Housekeeper will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of a family's private, primary home, although the family is only in residence approximately 6 months/year. This position is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm with flexibility needed for occasional events, etc. Family is open to a Housekeeper who would prefer to live-in as accommodations are available, but this position does not require someone to live-in. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily deep cleaning, tidying, organizing, laundry, ironing, and general upkeep. Housekeeper must drive and have own vehicle, be pet-friendly (dogs and cats), and comfortable taking direction. The family has a wonderful Estate Manager onsite who works closely with the Housekeeper to ensure the residence is immaculate at all times. Salary is $18-22/hour, DOE plus great perks. Full-Time Executive Housekeeper- Glencoe, IL

Professional, experienced Executive Housekeeper needed to join fully staffed residence in Glencoe, IL. Ideal candidate will be a "Martha Stewart" type who pays attention to detail, considers him/herself a career Housekeeper, and a team player who works well with others. 
  • A sample day would be as follows: cleaning the kitchen, family room, and mudroom once the children have departed for school. Then, you will check with your colleague to make sure that the master suite has been cleaned before the lady of the house returns midday. At the same time you will be tending to daily deliveries of mail, packages, or dry cleaning. In the afternoon, you will clean the finer areas of the home, organize the master closet, or work on seasonal projects. Sometimes you might be asked to run an errand. It is a big house (15,000 sq. ft) and a big responsibility but you will have the assistance of another housekeeper and the full support of the Estate Manager.

  • demonstrate tremendous work ethic 
  • be honest and trustworthy
  • have great communication skills
  • have proven experience in a similar position 
  • be willing to participate in a cleaning trial
Schedule (please note: the base work schedule follows and with all positions of this nature there will be times when flexibility will be appreciated):
  • M-F: 9:00-5:00 PM
  • Sat.: 10-2 (2 Saturdays per month when the family is in residence)
  • Christmas Day is a day off for all staff. Other holidays are based on whether the family is in residence or not. For example, in 2015 the family was not in residence Memorial Day, July 4th, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Other years they have hosted parties on July 4th or New Year’s Eve that required staff to be available. On Thanksgiving help is needed in the late afternoon/early evening for 2-3 hours doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen.
Compensation: Hourly rate DOE; annual end of year performance bonus; health insurance OR a contribution to health insurance plan (if already in place); 2 weeks PTO.
