Part-time Family Assistant/Nanny Needed- Winnetka, IL

Part-time Family Assistant/Nanny needed to care for a family with three school-aged children (ages 8, 12, and 15) in Winnetka, IL. Family is looking to commit to 20 hours per week, likely Monday-Friday from 3 or 3:30 until 7 or 7:30 but flexibility requested for occasional events, date nights, weekend evenings, etc. Duties include but are not limited to:

•   Playing games, activities, and helping with homework

•   Picking up from school and driving to activities

•   Making meals, snacks, and assisting with dinner prep and clean up

•   Driving to and accompanying children on errands, appointments, etc.

•   Manage grooming, care, and provide a positive and fun environment when children are in your care

•   Stay overnight and provide 24-hour coverage/care when parents are traveling (advance notice would be given and time commitment may range between a few days or up to one week)

Ideal candidate has strong communication skills, works well autonomously and/or on a team, welcomes feedback and follows instructions. Family is looking for a responsible, reliable, and punctual candidate who has a great attitude and is flexible as needed.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Nanny or in a similar childcare role, be comfortable working in a home with pets (dog), speak excellent English, have impeccable references, and must have a driver's license and ideally his/her own reliable vehicle (although the family’s car will be driven when working).
