Full Time Live In Housekeeper Needed- Chicago, IL (North Suburbs)

Private Family in the north suburbs of Chicago is seeking a Full-Time, Live-In Housekeeper to join their team. Schedule will be 45-50 hours/week and flexibility is required. Ideal candidate is energetic, has a positive, can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, is detail-oriented, and works well autonomously.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·      All aspects of general housekeeping including deep cleaning

·      Supervising and directing other housekeeper(s)

·      Maintaining home to be ready for guests at all times

·      Laundry, ironing, care of delicate fabrics, packing/unpacking for frequent travel, dropping off dry-cleaning, and seasonal wardrobe maintenance

·      General household organization (closets, pantries, cabinets, etc.)

·      Preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks for family

·      Conducting household inventories and purchasing supplies and groceries

·      Coordinating with vendors and contractors regarding household maintenance and repairs

·      Assisting with dinner and cocktail parties (family typically has one/month)

·      Greeting guests, answering phone calls, taking messages, receiving mail and packages

·      Running errands and managing special requests

·      Indoor pool maintenance such as tidying the deck, etc.

·      Traveling to family's other homes as required

Requirements:

·      A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a large, formal home

·      Experience properly caring for fine art, antiques and furniture

·      Experience polishing fine surfaces such as marble, silver, and crystal

·      Must love working with children

·      Pet-friendly (dog)

·      Must have a valid driver’s license

·      Must know how to swim

Salary is commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package. Start date is ASAP.
