Full-time Executive Housekeeper/Laundress Needed- Winnetka, IL

Full-time Executive Housekeeper/Laundress needed for wonderful private family in Winnetka, IL. This role will have a heavy focus on laundry and ironing responsibilities, and ideal candidate will have some experience with minimal seamstress duties (such as sewing a replacement button on a pair of pants, etc.). Seamstress experience is not a requirement though so applicants who cannot sew are still welcome to apply.

Schedule will be Monday-Friday from 9 am – 5 pm, with occasional help needed on Saturdays (sometimes up to two Saturdays per month for 3-4 hours).

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning the kitchen, family room, and mudroom
• Laundry and ironing of fine clothing and linens
• Sewing or helping to handle minimal tailoring of clothing items as needed
• Coordinating with the House Manager and other household staff to make sure each room is cleaned and organized in a timely manner
• Tending to daily deliveries of mail, packages, or dry cleaning and greeting guests
• Cleaning the finer areas of the home, organizing the closets, or working on seasonal projects
• Occasionally running errands such as grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning

The ideal candidate demonstrates a tremendous work ethic, is honest and trustworthy, and has great communication skills. Applicants must have 2-3 years of prior Housekeeping experience, be willing to perform a paid cleaning trial, and be flexible to work on holidays upon request.
