Part-time Private Chef needed for long-term position with a single Principal
in Chicago, IL (Gold Coast). This position will be part-time and salaried,
based on 28 hours per week. The schedule may vary from week-to-week so Chef is
expected to be flexible and adaptable with the Principal’s changing needs.
Chef’s duties will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for all grocery shopping and sourcing fresh produce,
meats, and dairy products
Stocking and maintaining kitchen inventory
Purchasing for and maintaining wine cellar
Assisting with and serving at dinner parties for family and other guests
Adhering to Principal’s dietary restrictions or preferences
Cleaning and maintaining an organized kitchen and workspace
Handling the daily walks, feedings, and care of a small dog
Traveling to the Principal’s second residence for up to 8-weeks in
the summer
Applicants should have a culinary degree, a minimum of 3-years
experience working in a private household, be pet-friendly, a team player who
takes great pride in his/her work, is flexible, shows initiative, pays close
attention to detail, be looking to make a long-term commitment, and maintains
the utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times. Family has a
zero-tolerance policy for any breach of their privacy; confidentiality is of
the utmost importance and any gossiping will not be tolerated.
Salary is commensurate with experience and Employer guarantees a
minimum of 28-hours/week. Chef will be expected to submit timesheets on a
quarterly basis, at which time additional compensation will be reviewed for
