Private Chef Needed- Chicago, IL (Gold Coast)

Family of four in Chicago, IL (Gold Coast) is seeking a Private Chef to join their team in mid-to-late July. This position can be part-time OR full-time--family is open for the right candidate. Schedule requires flexibility but Chef will prepare dinner 4-5 nights/week (typically Sunday-Thursday). Chef will be responsible for all grocery shopping, menu planning and preparations, and occasional special events. Ideal candidate has extensive experience (4-5+ years) in formal dining and service, a passion for cooking, basic wine knowledge, and is very proactive in coming up with new recipes and being innovative in the kitchen. Must also be child-friendly as family has two school-aged children.

Part-Time Housekeeper Needed For Temporary Summer Position- Highland Park, IL

Private client in Highland Park, IL is seeking a temporary Part-Time Housekeeper for 8 hours/week for the remainder of the summer. Client prefer that all 8-hours are performed in one shift on Mondays but is open to splitting the position into 2 days for the right candidate. 

The position entails tidying the pool deck (although not cleaning the pool), such as straightening cushions, sweeping walkways, picking up general debris, wiping down the outdoor kitchen, cleaning and folding the pool towels for the week, stocking the refrigerator, and just general maintenance of the outdoor space. 

Compensation is $20-30/hour and Housekeeper must be able to start immediately if hired. There is potential to be brought on permanently in the Fall as a Part-Time (or possibly even Full-Time) Employee but this is not guaranteed. Full-Time Live-In or Live-Out Housekeeper needed for private residence in Northfield, IL. Schedule will be Monday-Friday from 8am until 5pm but family asks for occasional flexibility for events, parties, or when traveling. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning, tidying, organizing, laundry, ironing, and general upkeep. Ability to drive is preferred and willingness to travel with the family is a plus but neither is a deal breaker. Must be cat AND dog-friendly (family has both pets). Salary is $17-$23/hour DOE plus paid time off, and family offers Housekeeper excellent health benefits package after one year of employment. Start Date is ASAP. 

Full-Time Live-In/Live-Out Executive Housekeeper Needed- Chicago, IL (Gold Coast)

Full-Time Live-In/Live-Out Executive Housekeeper needed for formal residence in the Gold Coast working for a single Principal. Schedule will be 40-50 hours/week (Monday-Friday) when Client is traveling but flexibility for weekends as needed when Client and/or his guests are in residence. Principal travels a great deal but when in residence, Housekeeper’s schedule requires flexibility (i.e.: helping with events at night and/or on weekends). Principal would love a combination of live-in and live-out; there is a separate guest suite that Housekeeper is welcome to live-in year-round but position only requires partial live-in (i.e.: overnights when guests are in town but Principal is traveling, etc). 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Working with one other household staff member, a full-time Housekeeper 

-Helping to maintain a clean and orderly household

-Laundry and ironing (care of fine linens)

-Event assistance (table setting, vendor coordination, etc.)

-Principal would love if the Housekeeper could travel to other properties on occasion as well, but this is not a deal breaker

Candidate must have 5+ years of experience working in a private household, excellent references, be comfortable working in a more formal household, and should be a team player who works well with others.  Housekeeper must also be dog-friendly as Principal has two large dogs and should be willing to work occasional holidays.
