Private family in downtown Chicago seeking a full-time private
chef to join their formal household. Schedule will be 5 days/week, including
one weekend day, and may vary week-to-week. Ideal candidate has extensive
experience (5-10+ years) in formal dining and service, a passion for cooking, basic
wine knowledge, and is very proactive in coming up with new recipes and being
innovative in the kitchen. Must also be child-friendly and be able to easily
adapt to and engage young kids who may be in and out of the kitchen. Candidate
MUST have worked previously in a formal household, and be from/have worked in Chicago.
Candidate must be willing to travel and able to work holidays, as the family
travels often and occasionally takes their chef.
Hours are 9am until 9pm, with some downtime midday. Chef will
prepare lunch for Principal for drop-off at office daily, and otherwise just
