Duties include overall outdoor maintenance--cleaning gutters, windows, organizing the garage, sweeping patio and clearing debris, etc. Client has landscapers for mowing the lawn, gardening, etc.

Part-Time Household Assistant Needed for Retired Senior- Winnetka, IL

Retired elderly woman in Winnetka seeking a part-time Household Assistant to join her fully staffed home for an on-call position. Assistant will be guaranteed 80 per month, which must be flexible to fill in when full-time staff requests time off, are out sick, etc. Shifts will be a minimum of 3 hours and Assistant will be notified as far in advance when needed to work. Duties include meal preparation, errands, and just overall companionship to woman. Ideal candidate is college educated, loves to read and discuss current events, has 3+ years of experience working as an elder companion, can be available for a flexible schedule and often at a moment's notice, and lives within 15 miles of Winnetka. Gold Coast couple is looking for a top-notch Estate Manager to oversee their Chicago home. Couple also has three other homes, though the responsibilities pertain solely to the Gold Coast property.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

-Responsible for daily operations on property

-Hiring and overseeing household staff

-Handling errands and purchasing

-Overseeing vendors, contractors, and act as a liaison on site

-Completing home organization projects

-Assisting with events, projects, etc.

-Providing continuity between employer's other homes

-Scheduling routine maintenance at residences

Position is 2 full days (Monday/Thursday or Monday/Friday) per week plus occasional fill-in hours needed in the evenings or a weekend evening (to be mutually agreed upon in advance). Family will guarantee 20-25 hours per week. Primary responsibility will be deep cleaning and organizing the home, laundry, ironing, and upkeep. Family has 2 young children and would love the housekeeper to be able to pitch in for the nanny when needed (ie: watch one child while nanny is out with the other). Salary is DOE.
