Once in a lifetime opportunity for a top-notch career nanny for live-in position in Palo Alto, CA. Executive couple is looking for a full time live in career nanny to care for one toddler. This position is live in, and requires flexibility and extensive traveling. The candidate must be legal to work in the United States, have a valid passport and drivers license, and at least 4+ years of private household nanny experience with verifiable references. The nanny must also be able to swim, be pet friendly (dog), and be CPR and First Aid certified. Nanny must be comfortable working with infant/toddler age group, and be looking for a long term position. Separate studio apartment behind family's main residence will be provided, and nanny CAN live in on days off.
The daily duties will include but not be limited to:
Overall care for the child first and foremost (bathing, dressing, feeding, play time, etc.)
Cooking for the child and preferably for the family a few nights per week
Traveling at least once per month either domestically or internationally
Light housekeeping such as laundry, kitchen clean up, and child's room clean up
Driving to activities
Occasional errands
This position would be great for someone who loves to travel, is very active and energetic, has a strong knowledge of child development and can offer creative suggestions as needed, and who is looking for their next long term position. The candidate must be tech-savvy and be comfortable using smart phones and doing internet research to act as an in house resource for family. The ideal candidate is smart, can be calm under pressure, extremely knowledgeable about childcare, pro-active, communicates well, and loving.
Rough schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-8pm & half days on Sunday afternoons/evenings. Overall the nanny must be flexible and willing to help whenever needed. Start date is ASAP. Salary is $60-65,000.
