Fun and energetic family in Washington, DC is looking for a full time live-in nanny to join their growing family. Family currently has one 22-month old son but is expecting another child in mid-March. Both parents have extremely demanding work schedules and would love a nanny with flexibility. Typical hours will be 8am-6:30pm, but occasional evening and overnights hours are needed as necessary. If longer hours are required, overtime will be compensated. Family rarely needs help on the weekends but if nanny is interested in extra hours, an additional weekend schedule can be mutually agreed upon.
Duties of the position include but are not limited to complete care of children, cooking meals, light housework, laundry, running errands as needed and driving. Family does have a housekeeper that comes once a week to help with cleaning/house management as well. Ideally the family is looking for someone who is a great communicator, a warm genuine person, and extremely energetic and able to keep up with two young children. Family would ideally be looking for a nanny who is comfortable keeping a brief daily log of children's development and activity as well. Someone who has a true interest and passion for working with children and will treat their home as if it were their own and can keep up with all the moving parts.
Nanny living accommodations include a third floor guest room which has a separate bedroom and bathroom. Family has a small dog so nanny must be pet friendly, although no major pet care duties are involved with the position. Light travel including 1-3 family vacations per year would be a plus if candidate were open to it. Nanny must be legal to work in the United States, be CPR and First Aid certified and speak English fluently. Nanny ideally should drive but it's not a deal breaker. Family will be provided a car for the position. Salary is $500-850/week, plus health insurance in the future for the perfect person. If interested, please email resume and cover letter to info@alteregoconcierge.com to apply and for more details.
