Full-time House Manager/Cook- Chicago, IL

Full-time House Manager/Cook needed for position based in Chicago with frequent travel to a second residence in the Caribbean. Principals are an executive couple and there are no children, but they have two cats so applicants must be comfortable with pets/have no allergies. Schedule will typically be Monday-Friday when in Chicago but some flexibility is needed when at second residence. Ideal candidate is dedicated, energetic, outgoing, hardworking, and maintains a high level of discretion/confidentiality. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Handle daily upkeep and ensure that home is impeccably maintained and organized; work alongside part-time Laundress/Housekeeper to oversee and keep home running smoothly
  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks
  • Greet guests, vendors, and other visitors
  • Seasonal organizing and cleaning projects
  • Run errands such as grocery shopping, post office, dry cleaning, drugstore, etc.
  • Oversee vendors and repairs in residence; assist with scheduling as needed

Applicants must have 3+ years of experience as an Executive Housekeeper, drive (his/her own vehicle preferred although not required), be comfortable working in a home with pets, speak good English, and have impeccable references. Private Chef Needed- Chicago, IL (Lincoln Park)

Private Chef needed for family of 4 in Chicago. Family prefers a full-time Chef but is open to part-time hours for the right candidate. Schedule requires flexibility but Chef will prepare dinner 4-5 nights/week (typically Sunday-Thursday). Chef will be responsible for all grocery shopping, menu planning and preparations, and occasional special events. Ideal candidate has extensive experience (4-5+ years) in formal dining and service, a passion for cooking, basic wine knowledge, and is very proactive in coming up with new recipes and being innovative in the kitchen.

Full-Time Nanny/House Manager Needed- Chicago, IL


Full Time Nanny/House Manager needed to support a working mother with two children in Chicago, IL. Schedule requires flexibility but Nanny will work Thursdays and Fridays every week in addition to 3 floating days (weekday or weekend, which will vary based on employer’s travel schedule). Ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, interested in child development (early child education background a plus), a team player, detail-oriented, full of energy and is willing to help out in all aspects of the home. Applicants should be receptive to feedback but also able to work autonomously. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide care, supervision and safety of the children above all other responsibilities.
  • Tend to the children’s basic needs.
  • Use Employee’s automobile to drive children to activities and events.  Mileage will be reimbursed to Employee bi-monthly in accordance with current standard rate.  Employee must submit mileage to Employer each week. Employee to maintain valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the children; clean up kitchen and dining table when completed.
  • Keep children’s bedroom, children’s bathroom and other family play areas (e.g. family room, basement, kitchen) clean and organized (e.g. put away and organize clothes and toys, clean and disinfect toys as needed, make the bed, wipe down surfaces/countertops, sweep floor after meals as needed, etc.)
  • Grocery and general shopping for all the children’s needs.  
  • Arrange, supervise and participate in daily activities with the children, which include: games, walks, play-dates, playground visits, educational outings, classes and reading.
  • Proactively research, plan and take children to activities (e.g. outings, classes, play groups, play-dates, organized activities) that have child development, social relationship skills and educational value, as agreed with Employer.
  • Engage other nannies and moms to promote play-dates and activities for the children, as agreed with Employer. Coordinate/participate in carpools and activity planning.
  • Consistently comply with parent’s discipline and child rearing preferences.
  • Confer with Employer about special problems, new skills and day's activities to ensure parent is updated on the children's development and daytime life.
  • Keep a daily journal/log with a narrative of the children’s meals, medication and activities.
  • Light housekeeping related to children.
  • Be an active participant with neighborhood parents and school activities.
  • Monitor and report on school website weekly.
  • Logistics manager for children’s calendar and activities.
  • Maintain updated First Aid and CPR certification. Employer to reimburse Employee for recertification classes as needed. 
In addition, the following House Management duties may include:
  • Organizing closets 
  • Answering the door/phone and greeting guests, sign for packages, etc.  
  • Watering flowers
  • Preparing light meals and keeping fresh foods stocked
  • Grocery shopping and maintaining household inventory (toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Running errands such as post office, drugstore, etc. 
  • Purchase and wrap gifts; mail or deliver when needed
  • Assist with research projects and management (i.e.: vendor recommendations, repairs, etc.)
All candidates must be legal to work in the US, speak English, have strong written and oral communication skills, a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle, and have 3+ years of private home experience. Compensation is commensurate with experience; start date is as soon as possible, but client is flexible for the right candidate. Full-Time Live-In Caregiver/Companion Needed- Michigan and Florida

Full-time live-in Companion/Caregiver needed for elderly couple who split their time between Michigan (West Bloomfield) and Florida (West Palm Beach). Caregiver will travel and relocate alongside the couple and be responsible for assisting them with their day-to-day needs. This is a full-time position and coverage is required for approximately 40 hours/week, typically Monday-Friday but flexibility needed on occasion. Client is open to a 6 day/week position if candidate prefers. Both husband and wife are in good health, but husband requires more assistance with general daily care as he has early onset dementia.

Duties include but are not limited to:
·       Driving and accompanying to and from appointments
·       Running errands
·       Preparing light meals
·       Light tidying (loading/unloading dishwasher, general straightening, etc.)

Companion will assist with overall daily care, light housework (loading/unloading dishwasher, etc.), preparing meals, running errands, driving and accompanying Principal(s) to appointments and social functions, etc. Both husband and wife are in good health, but husband requires more assistance with general daily care. Full-Time Nanny Needed- Birmingham, MI

Full-time Nanny needed to care for newborn baby in Birmingham, MI. Both parents work full-time and are open to one Nanny working the full schedule (7am-7pm, Monday-Friday) or splitting the shift between two candidates. This is their first child and they are looking for a great Nanny (or Nannies) to grow with their family long-term. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Primary duties are to ensure the health, well-being, education, development and safety of the child.
- Comply with parents’ discipline philosophy and child-rearing preferences. Nanny is to treat children with kindness and respect. Discipline guidelines will be provided.
- To provide care and have responsibility for employers’ child, while on duty as their childcare provider. This includes providing healthy meals, keeping the child’s clothing and toys clean and tidy.

- Promote feelings of security and warmth by planning time daily with the child
- Responsible for providing healthy meals according to parents’ guidelines. Some assistance with preparation of family dinner may be requested.

Requirements: 

- 10+ years’ experience in childcare settings (day care center, nursery, babysitting, nanny, etc.)
- Understanding of child psychology and stages of development
- Certification in infant and child first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
